Mass Effect 2: Overlord or Arrival?

I will be buying one of them and I am having a hard time choosing,

so which is the better dlc out of the two?Mass Effect 2: Overlord or Arrival?
Overlord, by far.



Arrival is the weakest of the three main DLC packs (Lair of the Shadow Broker being the best).



Arrival is the bridge between ME2 and ME3 and the very first scene of ME3 is a direct continuation of that mission. The DLC itself is canon. If you start ME3 and you haven't played Arrival it will still assume that the events from Arrival really happened. There is no choice in this DLC so it's the same for everyone.



Overlord is not canon. It's an extra mission and I think ME3 will ignore it if you haven't played it. The gameplay, atmosphere and storyline are in my opinion better than Arrival. You have to make an important choice that may influence ME3, though since it's DLC that influence may be minor.

Overlord: 8/10

Arrival: 5/10
