when ever i try to "use" the patch it will say "this update for Mass Effect 2 is not for steam distribution of the game. please run Steam to keep your install of Mass effect 2 up to date". i have already updated mass effect and i will run steam and it won't work. but im not completely sure by "run steam" help me !!!!!!!!!!!Mass effect 2 patch 1.02 not working?
Did you install the patch from the website? That version won't work with digital copies bought from Steam. Open Steam and see if the game is updating automatically. If it isn't then the patch is either already installed or not yet available for Steam users.
