So i got the new dlc for me2, Everything worked perfectly without any problems but when i finished the car chase i got a black screen in the middle of a cutsceen were Liara and Shepard crashed.
I tried to reinstall DLC and than install patch 1.02 and vice verca and also tried making a new character but nothing worked!!! Please help me i want this DLC sooo bad!
My computer can handle crysis on high so me2 shouldn't be a problem!
I'm using noCD because my me2 cd broke.
The problem is some were in the games files and has nothing to do with my computer!
Oh and i've also tried to lower graphx to lowest and removed film grain and chose no sound but no luck.

Mass Effect 2 keeps crashing?

Mass Effect 2 - Cerberus Network problem?
When I start my ME2 on my xbox 360, a menuy pops up and tells me to activate the code I got with the game to activate Zaeed, Cerberus Network and other DLCs, but when I type in the code, there's no "-" between each fourth number.
So instead of XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, it says XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. Know what I'm saying?

I have an acer aspire 5734Z with a intel pentium (R) dual core CPU T4500 processor at 2.30 GHz, 3 GB DDR3 Memory/Ram and 320 GB HDD and 64 bit operating system. I'm asking because I recently downloaded it from amazon with their games downloader and installed it and the problem is when i click play it won't and it stops and says there is a problem and microsoft is trying to fix it, although it doesn't say what it is. I've tried everything, deleting temporary files and stopping unncessary processes in the background, getting the latest patch, and other things, but it still won't work. I also noticed the game didn't download into program files (x86) but the downloader wouldn't let me control that, even though all games usually download there. How does Mass Effect 2's DLC affect saved games?

I recently played through Mass Effect 2 several times over the course of the past few months and finally got wireless access for my XBOX 360. I was thinking about getting the Downloadable Content (DLC), but wasn't sure if it would mess up my saved games. What I'd like to know is:
1. Does the DLC work on saved games? For example, if I've completed the majority of the missions (including the Suicide Mission), will getting the DLC for Zaeed and Katsumi mean that I can just pick them up before completing any remaining side missions?
2. On two of my six playthroughs I used a cheat to create infinite skill points. While I've read that the DLC includes a patch to fix this, will this mean that these previously saved characters will suddenly be de-powered? I only ask because I read an article stating that this cheat may affect the importing of characters into ME3 as well (i.e. if characters have mismatched skill points).
Bottom line: I've enjoyed playing the mass effect series but don't want to jeopardize my existing saves. I did my best to play through with the intent of importing each version of the character into the final installment.
Any advice, tips, or anecdotal experience will be very helpful.

Mass Effect 2 PS3 Freakout?
I checked Mass Effect 2 out from gamefly. It took a freaking week to get here, and I just got it today. I went to stick it in, and the screen turned kind of fuzzy- you could still make out the shapes of like letters or something, but it was impossible to read, as if the graphic items were being played across the screen in lines. Whenever you change a screen (PS button, for example) it would do the same thing, but the pattern of lines would change. When it happened the first time, I hit X trying to fix it, and it started downloading a patch- which helped nothing. I looked at the CD, it has no scratches at all- it looks brand new. I tried windex on it, a microfiber cloth, etc, and nothing worked. Does mass effect 2 work off of some weird definition that is incompatible with my TV or something?

Game updates rarely cause issues with save files. Yes, you can get dlc after you start a new game. DLC is designed to be addon and normally comes out after the game has been out for awhile. It would be expected that you have already played the main game by this point.

The game is store bought, not from Steam or any other place where you can download the game online.

That's your problem. This is an integrated graphics chip and you need a dedicated graphics card. There's no workaround, you'll have to install a good graphics card that meets the minimum system requirements.

ME2 is defiantly worth the buy. I didn't have problems with it freezing or save corrupts. The best part of the Mass Effect series is that it "continues" your story line from game to game. So when ME3 comes out, it will take your saved data from ME2 and continue the story line from there. Meaning, if someone died in your ME2 game, then they will be dead in ME3. Ok i am looking to buy a new copy Mass effect 2 again after losing mines in a tornado that destroyed my house. And i was wondering with the Cerberus network, am i able to receive the Blood Dragon Armor through this. Also i was looking forward to getting the Kasumi: Stolen Memory and The Arrival, but i was thinking can i pay the $21.32 for the actual game and add the extra 50 cents with the money and then actually pay with my trade credit to get the 2 DLC's? By using the registration code for DA:O on your registered EA account linked with bioware(if you don't have one create one first using the email you use for your gamertag, linking your gamertag to it), you can then log into ME 2 (make sure to register your copy of ME2 as well on the site once you pick it up again) and receive a message from the Illusive Man about how to get your Blood Dragon Armor.
But if you don't have DA:O you'll have to buy it, brand new in order to receive a valid code for the armor.

Which DLC should I get?
I'm gaming on the Xbox 360 and recently got me some 1600 ms points. I'm a big fan of Mass Effect and Deus Ex: Human revolution, and am currently stuck in a dilemma to choose which DLC I should get. I know Mass Effect 2's DLCs are kinda old but I still want them.

In ME 1 there was a point of no return so to speak where you couldn't just go back and continue where you had left off with regards to exploration and / or assignments. All you could do was continue to the very end of the game and once you had saved the day you got the credits and that was that. Game over no more finishing off open assignments or exploring.
I want to download 2 lots of DLC for ME 2, they are Shadow Broker and Arrival.
Now what i want to know is... Is there a similar point of no return in ME2 where if i don't have an earlier save game i would have to replay the lot to be able to play the DLC or can i continue once i finish the off killing the last boss whoever he /she /it is?

so i beat mass effect 2 a long time ago, i quit cerberus, and now i have some dlc, and i get a message from the illusive man telling me about the new missions, this doesnt put me back into cerberus does it? or is it supposed to happen either way? and after i beat arrival the admiral said that my ship no longer belonged to cerberus, so i guess im not but still why would illusive man send me the messages?How come illusive man sends me messages after resigning at the end of mass effect 2?
It's just a hole in the story. The Illusive Man is always the one to tell you about those missions, and Bioware took the easy way out and never made it so that someone in the Alliance or something give you the missions if you left Cerberus at the end of the game.professor layton jayco

How come ps3 owners gets mass effect 2 dlc for free and xbox 360 owners have to pay?
This has been a question plaguing me for a long time, seeing dlc like Lair of the Shadow Broker, Overlord, the alternate companion costumes, and Arrival seems to always be free for anyone with a PS3 but not for us Xbox owners. Xbox 360 owners in my own opinion should rightfully get these Mass Effect DLCs for free since we can and have bought the first Mass Effect game played it loyally.
While the PS3 doesn't even have Mass Effect 1 on it and just gets the Mass Effect 2 DLC for聽free for so stupid reason. Ok so i just got Mass Effect 2 and i was wondering what DLC's i should get that will effect the story to the upcoming Mass Effect 3. Right now i have 1600 MS Points and the total cost for the 4 DLC i am talking about is 2480 MS Points. I only want the DLC's that will have a effect on ME3. I have downloaded both Shadow Broker and Arrival. They are 100 % finished downloading but I cant figure out how to play them. If I go to the main menu and click Downloadable Content it just asks me if I want to purchase again. Anyone know what I can do?How to access mass effect 2 dlc?

Can I use DLC for mass effect 2 on another profile on the same console if i already have it on another profile?

If you purchased DLC for Mass Effect 2 on your console, then yes, ALL profiles on THAT console will be able to access the DLC.

I just bought mass effect 2 a couple weeks ago and I love it, so I wanna buy the DLC sometime before Mass Effect 3 is released. However, what I don't want to do is buy the DLC, only to have a discount for the Mass Effect 2 DLC be released in preparation for the arrival of ME3. Is it common that this happens? How does Anderson go from Councilor in Mass Effect 2 to Admiral in Mass Effect 3?
Obviously this is based on your own choices, but I chose Anderson for the council in Mass Effect/Mass Effect 2, and he was on it. However, in Mass Effect 3 he's part of the Alliance military once again, and so I'm curious as to how that happened. I don't think much time has passed between Mass Effect 2 and 3 since during "Arrival" it's established that the Reapers would still arrive within a few months if the relay was destroyed, so I don't see how his term could have expired or anything. I've looked everywhere I can't find the answer to this. Please only answer if you know; I can speculate well enough on my own. Mass effect 2 question for all that have finished it?
hi there guys im downloading the dlc packs now and im wondering if any time i start a new game will they still be there note im playing from a mass effect 2 already complete save how you can restart it so will it be there when i start Again? plus i download the shadow broker overlord and arrival when should i play each?Mass effect 2 question for all that have finished it?
All the DLC's are replayable, and DLC item packs %26amp; characters are always available. As to the 3 bigger DLC missions. Both can be played at any time after you acquire the Normandy 2 (the Normandy 1 being the original Normandy from ME1) and can travel freely. Though I would recommend playing the Overlord %26amp; Shadow Broker missions prior to your trip to the Omega 4 relay, ideally also before traveling to derelict Reaper (where you acquire the IFF device and Legion.)
The Arrival can also be played at any time, though in terms of continuity I believe the designers intended for it to be played after you finish Mass Effect 2.
Overlord, The Lair of the Shadow Broker %26amp; The Arrival were designed to be stand alone missions meant to fill the gap between ME2 %26amp; ME3. So when you play them within the game is up to you.Mass effect 2 question for all that have finished it?
After you complete the game (if Shepard survived), you should be able to load the auto save and it would bring you back to the Normandy, allowing you to play the DLC. I completed my first playthrough before the DLC came out and I was able to do this without having to start over.

In my second playthough, I started Overlord after the mission where you find Ashley/Kaidan and the Shadow Broker before I got the Reaper IFF. Again, Arrival wasn't released until after I completed that playthrough, so I played it last.

Ok i was just wondering since by the looks of the new "Arrival" DLC for Mass Effect 2 looks like it will effect the story of Mass Effect 3 i am thinking on getting it. All DLC is downloaded from BioWare's website and yes you can install them on the Steam version.
The DLC is linked to your EA account (the same account as your BioWare Social Network account), so as long as you log into that account in game it will authorize it.

Transferring saves from Mass Effect 2 (PC) to Mass Effect 3 (Xbox 360)?
Hi,
So I played through both Mass Effect 1 and 2 on my PC, but it seems with the arrival of Mass Effect 3 my PC won't be able to handle the system requirements in order to run the game. Would it be possible for me to convert my save file from my PC and transfer it over to the XBOX 360 via flash drive? I don't want to lose all my decisions etc that I have built up over the past two games.

There is an online tool to convert saves from xbox 360 to pc and vice versa. You need to register though.

I don't believe that would work...though I'm no expert. Most of the time the formats are completely incompatiable between Concoles and PCs...but there are several things you can do.
First. Keep your orginal saves in a save place on your hardrive on you PC
Second. Make a copy of those saves and put them onto something that can be used with the Xbox (I just use an Xbox harddrive...so...I'm not sure if a flash drive would work but go for it.)
Third. See if the Xbox identifies the saves files as Mass Effect Save files.
If it doesn't...than chance are they are incompatible. In this case you have 2 more options
1- Upgrade your PC
2- Do without your old saves.
Personally I would recommend you upgrade or buy a new PC...if its that important to you. The price of computers is dropping drastically so you might be able to upgrade your modle within a reasonable price range.
In the end...you've just got to try it.

Which Mass Effect 2 DLC to pick: Shadow Broker or Arrival?
I was thinking of buying 1000msp for some DLC so I want to get Bring Down The Sky for ME 1 and one of the two I mentioned in the question. I'd just like to know without mentioning the plot, which one did you prefer playing? Shadow Broker, the decisions you make in Arrival does not affect Mass Effect 3 at all as you will have the same ending. Also by completing the shadow broker you will probably have a good bonus to the outcome of Mass Effect 3 but I won't spoil the plot.

I found The Lair of the Shadowbroker was one of the best sequences in an already superb game. It's by far the best DLC. It's very long. The combat is very challenging. It even has a bit of humour.

you can buy cards with microsoft points or psn points and purchase arrival, but you can't get the DLC there yourself, you have to download that....
if you aren't connected to xbox live or psn, get the microsoft points and go to a buddy's house that is connected, and download ARRIVAL....it's linked to your gamertag, not necessary to be connected to live at all times....

In the Mass Effect 2 DLC: Arrival how can it leave off with the Reapers invading in Mass Effect 3 if Sheppard succeeded in destroying the mass relay?
Throughout the entire game I expected Sheppard to fail the mission leaving earth open for the reaper attack.
They set up the plot making sheppard go to earth for trial. I'm assuming that that is why sheppard is heading for earth when the reaper invasion starts in ME3.

It delayed the invasion, but it didn't prevent it. If Sheppard didn't destroy the Mass Relay in Arrival, they would have invaded there and then. By destroying it, he's delayed the invasion until Mass Effect 3.
Mass relays are not the only only form of space travel, they just speed things up A LOT. Space travel is still possible with only an FTL drive alone, but much slower when not using the relays. Think of the relays as a vast, point-to-point, teleportation network, each relay takes a mass and accelerates it to a single corresponding relay (hence point-to-point). The reapers plan to use the Alpha Relay as their first step in from dark space. Once they get through it, they have easy access to the rest of the galaxy's mass relays. Without it, they will have to manually fly to their intended destination, which is why they are delayed by multiple months. While this would be most likely an impossible feat for any normal ship, remember, the Reapers have HUGE element zero cores allowing them to move at much greater speeds, with greater ease, than organic made ships. Also, since the Reapers themselves ARE the ships and have no living crew, there is no worry about running out of food, air, etc. The Alpha Relay was intended to make their arrival easier, but it's destruction does not make it impossible.Mass Effect 2: How can reapers invade after Arrival?

I'm doing a replay of Mass Effect 1 %26amp; 2 (Partially because I lost my save to a virus :%26lt; And partially because they're awesome.) and I noticed that they released a new DLC pack. I liked the Overlord and Shadow Broker packs so I'm thinking of getting Arrival but I only like shelling out for DLC if it is *really* worth it. I just bought mass effect 2 a couple weeks ago and I love it, so I wanna buy the DLC sometime before Mass Effect 3 is released. However, what I don't want to do is buy the DLC, only to have a discount for the Mass Effect 2 DLC be released in preparation for the arrival of ME3. Is it common that this happens? If its PS3 you only have to buy "Arrival" for the DLC if you want to know before Mass Effect 3 story.
"Lair of the Shadow Broker" comes with the DLC on the PS3 version.
If its for the 360 you should buy "Lair of the Shadow Broker" and "Arrival" for the story only.
Edit: Then if you want to follow the story only then get "Lair of the Shadow Broker" and "Arrival" the other DLC are getting characters and weapons.

All the DLC's are replayable, and DLC item packs %26amp; characters are always available. As to the 3 bigger DLC missions. Both can be played at any time after you acquire the Normandy 2 (the Normandy 1 being the original Normandy from ME1) and can travel freely. Though I would recommend playing the Overlord %26amp; Shadow Broker missions prior to your trip to the Omega 4 relay, ideally also before traveling to derelict Reaper (where you acquire the IFF device and Legion.)
The Arrival can also be played at any time, though in terms of continuity I believe the designers intended for it to be played after you finish Mass Effect 2.

I just completed Arrival and went to talk to Miranda(asking for time to talk), she said she had loose ends with Cerberus and never had any free time, she said the same thing before the suicide mission but after I accepted, she said she'd be up when it's quiet and the other she said something different. Downloadable Content in Mass Effect 2?
Ok i was just wondering since by the looks of the new "Arrival" DLC for Mass Effect 2 looks like it will effect the story of Mass Effect 3 i am thinking on getting it. The thing is i was just wondering if i download it do i have to beat the game in order to access it (since it takes place a few day/months later after Mass Effect 2)? But thing is, if i bought that DLC and i have already beaten Mass Effect 2, does that mean i have to start another playthrough in order to play it (like you had to in Mass Effect 1) or will it be in the title screen where i can just play it on the spot? All DLC is downloaded from BioWare's website and yes you can install them on the Steam version.
The DLC is linked to your EA account (the same account as your BioWare Social Network account), so as long as you log into that account in game it will authorize it.
