MASS EFFECT game for the PC?????

I recently purchased a used copy of Mass Effect for the PC from Amazon.com (26 dollars, not a bad price). Although the disc is in perfect condition, I only received one disc with the game



I got worried when I noticed the well that the discs go in seems deep enough for 3 or 4 discs. I got even more worried when the disc for the game is actually labeled "disc 1."



It downloaded alright; I patched it alright and even got the bonus mission from the website; but my question is: Did I get shorted a disc or discs for the game????



So, does anyone know how many discs originally come with the game, and, more importantly, will I be able to finish the game without the game prompting me to insert disc 2 to continue at some point or time deep into the game, argh????

If it installed correctly, then it would mean one disc is all that's needed, if you got the DVD version of course. If there is a CD-Rom version that would require multiple CDs. (I don't think a CD-Rom Version is available, but there's always that chance.)



I think the publisher just wanted to save money and use that game case, in my opinion. The only multiple DVD version of the game is the European version, where the extra disc includes localized versions of the game. Direct quote from the Wikipedia entry for it.

"The European edition of the PC version included a second DVD with the game localized for German, French and Italian languages."

So I think it's just EA using all the extra cases for multiple discs. I'm sure they use a lot of them with all the Sims bundles and such.
